Karma Guardian FAQ

The questions I get most about Karma Guardian. If yours isn't here, email me below.

What It Does

Can I really track unlimited accounts?

Yes. There's no built-in account limit. You can monitor as many accounts as you want at once, whether that's 3 accounts at different prop firms or 5 personal accounts across brokers. Each one syncs in real time with its broker, and you can set alert rules for each account separately.

How does Karma Guardian actually help me as a trader?

It cuts the mental load of running several accounts. Without it you're asking yourself what the drawdown limit is on this account and how close you are to your daily loss. Karma Guardian tracks that for you. Alerts tell you when you're approaching a limit, data syncs in real time, and presets fill in each firm's rules so you aren't typing them in by hand. It doesn't trade for you and it can't guarantee you won't breach a rule, but you can see where every account stands without checking each one.

What's the difference between this and just using spreadsheets?

Spreadsheets need manual updates and go stale the moment you enter a trade. Karma Guardian syncs within 1-5 seconds of an account change, alerts you before you reach a limit (a spreadsheet can't), needs no data entry, and uses presets to cut down on setup mistakes. One forgotten update or one miscalculation in a spreadsheet can fail an evaluation.

How do the smart alerts help prevent failures?

Alerts watch your account metrics against rules you set. For example, set a drawdown alert at 80% and you get a notification when your drawdown reaches 80% of the maximum allowed. That gives you time to pause, reassess or close positions before you breach. Most evaluation failures happen because the trader didn't realize they were close. Alerts keep you aware, but they can't guarantee you avoid a breach, and they aren't meant to help you push limits.

Does Karma Guardian lock accounts, or only monitor?

Both, at a basic level. Karma Guardian monitors all your accounts in one window and has one built-in protection level: you choose lockouts for drawdown %, daily loss %, max trades per day, consecutive losses, and a daily profit target, and set the levels. When an account reaches a lockout level it is locked and new orders on it are blocked. Nothing is enforced until you turn on Auto-Protection. A lockout does not close open positions, and it works while NinjaTrader is open. For per-instrument rules, trading-hours windows, cooldowns and automatic flattening, use Discipline Master.

Setup & Compatibility

Which prop firms are supported with presets?

Karma Guardian includes presets for major prop firms including TakeProfitTrader, Lucid, Apex Trader Funding, Earn2Trade, My Funded Futures, Bulenox and Boxcar Trading. For other firms you can create custom rules with the same drawdown, daily loss and profit target logic. Firms change their rules, so check a preset against your firm's current rules. If your broker connects to NinjaTrader 8, Karma Guardian can monitor it.

How fast does the account data sync?

Typically within 1-5 seconds of an account change. Trades, deposits and withdrawals show up in the same view, so equity, drawdown, P&L and account status stay current across every monitored account. There's no manual refresh.

Is this compatible with my specific broker and prop firm setup?

Karma Guardian runs inside NinjaTrader 8 and monitors accounts at any broker NinjaTrader connects to, prop firms and retail brokers included. Presets cover major prop firms like TakeProfitTrader, Lucid, TradeDay and FTMO, and custom rules cover the rest with the same drawdown, daily loss and profit target logic. If your broker connects to NinjaTrader 8, Karma Guardian works with it.

What are the system requirements?

NinjaTrader 8 (latest version recommended), Windows 10 or 11, an internet connection for real-time sync, and a working NinjaTrader connection to your broker or brokers. There's nothing else to install or host.

Billing & Trial

How does the 30-day free trial work?

You get full access to every feature for 30 days, and you don't need a credit card to start. It's the same as a paid subscription: unlimited accounts, all prop firm presets and full alert customization. After 30 days you can subscribe for $15/month to keep going. If it's not for you, don't subscribe.

Why is it only $15/month?

I priced it low on purpose. Compare $15/month with the evaluation fee on your firm's pricing page. No tool can guarantee outcomes, but seeing your limits clearly is the goal. I'd rather have traders who stick around for years than squeeze every dollar upfront.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel anytime, with no cancellation fee. Your subscription just won't renew at the next billing date. If Karma Guardian isn't worth it to you, you shouldn't pay for it.

How do I get help if I have issues?

Email support@badbuddhacustoms.com and I'll get back to you as quickly as I can. I'm a trader too, so I know time matters. For installation help, the Getting Started guide walks through setup step by step.

Do you offer refunds?

The 30 days are free, with no payment needed, so you can decide before you pay. A month that's already billed isn't refundable (see the No Returns Policy), so use the trial first. If something's wrong, email me and I'll look into it.
